Doggy Sunday School

Livingston United Methodist church is committed to an “Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.” philosophy. We enjoy being an active part of the diverse community surrounding us, and we know that community includes a lot of dog lovers.

So each year (between May & September) we host a “pop-up” dog park!

Each Sunday morning a fenced area on the church grounds becomes available for our four-legged friends. Plenty of grass to play on, fresh water to drink & trained volunteers to ensure everyone enjoys the experience.  Each pet’s human is welcome to play along; enjoy the outdoor area, catch up with neighbors, or let our volunteers keep an eye on your pet while you step inside and attend the casual worship service (10:30 – 11:30 am). How you spend the time is up to you, we’ll just be pleased to host.

For the safety of all involved, we’re asking you register your dog. This can be done when you arrive your first Sunday. Well socialized fully vaccinated canines put everyone at ease. In addition, registered participants receive a special treat and an invitation to the Fall blessing ceremony with Pastor Jim Donnan. Those joining us multiple times will also receive their own Sunday school dog tag.

The 2017 season has ended, but the 2018 season begins Sunday, May 20th!
