*He Is Risen! Alleluia! Medley

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Text: Christopher Wordsworth, Music: Ludvig Van Beethoven

Alleluia! Alleluia!

Hearts to heaven and voices raise

Sing to God a hymn of gladness

Sing to God a hymn of praise

He who on the cross as Savior

For the world’s salvation bled

Jesus Christ the King of glory

Now is risen from the dead.

Now the iron bars are broken

Christ from death to life is born

Glorious life and life immortal

On this resurrection morn

Christ has triumphed and we conquer
By His mighty enterprise

We with Him to life eternal

By His resurrection rise.

Christ Arose

Text & Music: Robert Lowry

Low in the grave He lay

Jesus my Savior!

Waiting the coming day,
Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose

With a mighty triumph o’er His foes

He arose a Victor from the dark domain

And He lives forever with His saints to reign

He arose! He arose!

Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Vainly they watch his bed,
Jesus my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead,

Jesus my Lord!

Up from the grave He arose

With a mighty triumph o’er His foes

He arose a Victor from the dark domain

And He lives forever with His saints to reign

He arose! He arose!

Hallelujah! Christ arose!

Christ, the Lord is Risen Today

Text: Charles Wesley, Music: from Lyra Davidica

Christ, the Lord is ris’n today. Al – le - luia!

Sons of men and angels say: Al – le - luia!

Raise your joys and triumphs high, Al – le - luia!

Sing, ye heavens and earth reply: Al – le - luia!

Lives again our glorious King, Al – le - luia!

Where, O death, is now thy sting? Al – le - luia!

Dying once He all doth save, Al – le - luia!

Where thy victory, O grave? Al – le - luia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Al – le - luia!

Fought the fight, the battle won, Al – le - luia!

Death in vain forbids Him rise, Al – le - luia!

Christ hath opened Paradise, Al – le - luia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Al – le - luia!

Foll’wing our exalted Head, Al – le - luia!

Made like Him, like Him we rise, Al – le - luia!

Ours the cross, the grave, the skies. Al – le - luia!

John 20: 1-18

In Christ Alone

In Christ alone my hope is found,

He is my light, my strength, my song.

This Cornerstone, this solid Ground,

firm through the fiercest drought and storm.

What heights of love, what depths of peace,

when fears are stilled, when striving ceased!

My Comforter, my All in All,

here in the love of Christ I stand.

In Christ alone, who took on flesh,

Fullness of God in helpless babe.

This gift of love and righteousness

scorned by the ones he came to save.

Till on that cross as Jesus died,

the wrath of God was satisfied.

For every sin on Him was laid;

here in the death of Christ I live.

There in the ground His body lay,

Light of the world by darkness slain.

Then bursting forth in glorious day,

up from the grave he rose again!

And as He stands in victory,

sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,

for I am His and He is mine

bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,

this is the power of Christ in me.

From life’s first cry to final breath,

Jesus commands my destiny.

No power of hell, no scheme of man,

can ever pluck me from His hand;

till He returns or calls me home,

here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.

Jesus Loves the Little Children

CCLI Song # 58415

Jesus loves the little children,

All the children of the world.

Morning, evening, day and night,

They are precious in His sight –

Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Pastoral Prayer

Rev. Jim Donnan

Serenity Prayer

God, give us grace to accept with serenity
the things that cannot be changed,
courage to change the things
which should be changed,
and the wisdom to distinguish
the one from the other.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace,
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it,
trusting that You will make all things right,
if I surrender to Your will,
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

*Closing Hymn

He Lives

I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today;

I know that He is living, whatever men may say;

I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,

And just the time I need Him, He’s always near.

He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!

He walks with me and talks with me
along life’s narrow way.

He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!

You ask me how I know He lives?

He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me I see His loving care,
And tho’ my heart grows weary, I never will despair;

I know that He is leading thro’ all the stormy blast,

The day of His appearing will come at last. [Refrain]

Rejoice, Rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing

Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!

The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,

None other is so loving, so good and kind. [Refrain]
